creaturefight is an alternative rock band based in Chicago, blending layered instrumentals with intro spective vocals and a gritty, DIY edge.

The project began in 2017 as a solo effort by guitarist and vocalist Inho Park. After catching a live set, bassist Jake Gordon joined the lineup, followed by Park's college friends Sean Burke and Patrick Jasper in 2019. The group spent the next few years honing their sound under various names before officially becoming creaturefight in 2023.

Their music draws from classic alternative rock influences—Nirvana, Radiohead, My Bloody Valentine, Pixies, and Pavement—but with a tone shaped by Chicago’s indie scene. It’s music built for dive bars, basement shows, and long walks through the city.

The dual single run/same blue captures the band’s range: “Run” opens with a driving guitar riff and builds into a spacious track powered by Park’s airy vocals, while “Same Blue” takes a slower, more meditative approach, anchored by dissonant textures and thoughtful lyrics.

creaturefight’s evolving catalog is released via Oakley Avenue Records and reflects a band in motion—exploratory, grounded, and always looking ahead.
